FAQ's:

What age are your materials for?
Generally, ages 2-5.  Some is more suited for 2 year olds, while others are more suited for 4-5 year olds.  My own childcare provides care to children a variety of ages.  Materials on this site reflect a multi-age and multi-ability classroom.  Each child is different and some 4 year olds may already know how to read and write the alphabet, while others are still learning their colors and how to make a line or circle.  Age does not reflect ability!

Do you have more advanced materials, for kindergartners or older?
Unfortunately, not at this time.  Please also keep in mind that many of the printables can be used for practice and to reinforce skills for kindergartners who may already know their basics.

Do you have a Daily Schedule?
I believe that a quality pre school program incorporates lots of free-play as well as some structured activities.  The Monthly Curriculum can be followed however it best suits your own program.

I would say that my curriculum takes maybe 1-2 hours each day, depending on your group age/size/ability, and depending on the activities of that day.

Circle time:  15-30 minutes, Movement activity:  15 minutes, Craft:  15-30 minutes, Printables:  5-15 minutes, Other activities (cooking, table games, etc): 30 minutes.  The rest of a typical preschool morning consists of dramatic play, block play, outdoor activities, toileting, hand-washing, snacks, etc.

 7:00   Welcome, breakfast, free play.

9:00   Circle Time (welcome song, calendar, counting, letters, shapes, colors, story, sharing, learn new song/rhyme, etc…)

9:30   Music & Movement.  Interactive songs like Ants go Marching or Hokey Pokey, free-style dance to Music CD, dance/hop like animals.  Stretching and tumbling on nap mats.

 9:45   Snack/potty/clean-up.

10:00  Table time.  Age appropriate paperwork/printables from PreschoolPalace.org (learn to write their names, patterns, scissor skills, math, journal, etc.).

10:15   Craft.

10:00 Outdoor play/neighborhood walk/park day.  Trikes, slides, bubbles, playhouse, sidewalk chalk, etc. Create natural playscapes which allow children to interact with bugs, plants, water, trees and nature.

11:00  Centers:  blocks, puzzles, dramatic play, kitchen area, tool bench, sensory table.

12:00  Clean up & wash up, Lunch.  Children participate in food prep, hand washing, setting table, serving and cleaning.  Family style meals are a great way to expose children to social skills, math, and language skills.

12:30  Story & nap time.

3:00   Snack/potty/clean-up.

3:15   Outdoor play.  Group play like gymnastics/parachutes/races/tag/jumprope/hopscotch, hide & seek.

4:00  Inside wind-down.  Children play with materials in activity areas while teacher uses time to focus on one-to-one activities with each child or pairs in organized games like Candy Land/Hi-Ho Cheerio.  Floor puzzles, free-style art with provided materials.  Free-play.

Can you download the current Monthly Curriculum several weeks or even months in advance?

If I could, I would!  The Monthy Curriculum is created as I go, meaning if it is January, I would be getting ready and writing the February Curriculum.  If it is February, then I would be getting ready and writing the March Curriculum.  As soon as I finish, I will upload to the site.
